Contextual Security

This guide will walk you through the process of managing Contextual Security in Crysp IQ. A context is a dimensional attribute associated with a Business Object. If, for example, there is a person entity associated with a Business Object, you can control which attributes of the context is visible to the a role. You may choose to hide the personal identifiable information from a role.

1. Click "Security"

Start by clicking the "Security" menu

Click 'Security'

2. Click "Contextual Security"

Navigate to "Contextual Security"

Click 'Contextual Security'

3. Select a Role

In this example we will select the "Healthdata Users" role we have created previously

4. Click "Edit"

Choose the "edit" option next to the context you want to manage

Click 'Edit'

5. Grant or revoke access to attributes

To grant access to an attribute, click on the "grant" button. To revoke access to an attribute, click on the "revoke" button.

6. Grant or Revoke access to all context attributes

You can also choose to grant or revoke role access to all attributes by using the "Grant All" and "Revoke All" buttons.
